this weekend @ sfbc - February 21st

sfbc family,

We have an awesome Sunday planned for this weekend. Sunday Morning, we will host Dove Award winners Terry and Barbi Franklin. This husband and wife team have lead worship and spoken around the US and world. Next week they will be leading the worship for the Kentucky Baptist Convention Evangelism Conference. Terry is a former member of the Gaither Vocal Band and they also will be sharing about God's plan for families. This weekend, we get the opportunity to host them for a Sunday Morning concert, Seldom does a church in our area get this opportunity. We will receive a love offering for them after church Sunday Morning. This is a don't miss event for our church family, please attend and invite your friends, family, and ONE.

Then on Sunday night, we will have a fun time of fellowship as our student ministry hosts their annual chili cook-off and dessert auction. Everything kicks off at 5pm with a meal and chili contest. Their will be sandwiches, chili, and soups. Following the meal their will be a live dessert auction. This event was lots of fun last year. Please be sure to attend and remember all funds raised will support students going to MFUGE this summer. Food, Fun, Fellowship, and Missions a great way to end the weekend.

I am looking forward to a great Sunday and a snow free weekend (at least I hope so on the snow)

See you this weekend @ sfbc,
Bro Norm

Bucket's of Hope for Haiti

We are participating in Bucket's of Hope for Haiti. Here is a link with details http://www.kybaptist.org/kbc.nsf/pages/haiti-buckets.html. The buckets need to be brought to by March 4th. Each bucket will be delivered to families in Haiti by Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Volunteer and include a gospel message. South Fork is also serving as a collection site for our Association. You may also give to help Haitian Orphans through the month of February, by designating a special offering to Haiti Earthquake. Funds given will be used to help the Galilean Children's Home and/or The Global Orphan Project. Thanks for giving, we have received almost $2000 so far.

Chili Cook-off and Dessert Auction
A great night of Chili followed by "live" dessert auction. This event was a huge success last year. We need desserts for the auction and people interested in preparing chili, even if you don't want to participate in the cook-off challenge. Please see Theresa Banks or Dewayne Gibson with questions. All funds raised will help send students to MFUGE!

New Morning Worship Schedule
For some time we have been sharing about moving to two morning worship services. We had announced the date for March 21st as a kick off day. But because the weather has slowed attendance some, we will be postponing the start two weeks until Easter Sunday. Please help us get ready for the schedule change by volunteering for early service teams, Nursery, ushers, greeters, we will need several workers to help fill this morning duties each week on a rotating schedule.
