SFBC Family,
June has just disappeared. I know we often talk about how quickly time gets away, but this has felt like June has passed in the blink of an eye. July brings many events to our church family.
On July 5th, we will celebrate Independence Day with a picnic and fireworks at Sportsman's Lake. Everyone is invited. We will be grilling hot dogs and burgers. Please bring drinks and a side dish or dessert. Most importantly invite someone to attend with you. The picnic is always a lot of fun and a great time of fellowship. It takes a lot of work. We will need a good clean up crew to help after the picnic with cleaning up the pavilions and all the firework trash, please plan on helping us. Gospel music will be provided under the pavilion following the meal, if you would like to sing please sign up at the welcome center or see Vinessa Johnson.
Our Students will be traveling to South Carolina for MFUGE, July 4th - 11th. Please begin praying for them now. MFUGE is a life changing on mission time of focusing on Christ and serving Him. Pray that our students will bring renewal and revival back to our church and community. Pray for DeWayne as he leads our student ministry.
On July 12th, a mission team will be leaving for Wilmington, Delaware. This trip is from July 12th - 18th. It will include leading a backyard VBS, church painting, evangelism surveys, and a great time. There are still openings if you would like to join this team. It is not too late to go. The team will be in Washington, DC for some sight seeing on Friday, July 17th as part of the trip home. Please talk with Randy or Suzanne Hines about going on this trip, it will be a great first mission trip. God has already said go, we just need to be obedient to his command.
Vacation Bible School is July 19th - 23rd. We still need workers in some areas, please see Sandy Kidd about how you can be involved in VBS. If you can only give one day please come join us for Bible School. Don't think that because you can only help a day or two that you are not needed. VBS is revival for our children. Please participate and most of all please pray!
We will also be celebrating with the Ireland Mission team in July as we hear testimonies from their trip.
Please pray that God will be glorified in our events and that they are more than just something we do. That they are the very things that God uses to change our lives and bring the Gospel to the world.
I do hope to see you in Bible Study and Worship on Sunday. We will be celebrating baptism in the morning service. I am looking forward to it with great anticipation!

GA Camp
GA Camp is this Friday and Saturday. The girls and leaders will be leaving at 11am on Friday. Please pray for them as they travel and learn about missions.
"Younger" Couples Sunday School
A new Sunday School class for younger couples will begin on July 12th at 10am. This class will be lead by Kelly and Emily Lawler. This is going to be a good class to join. Please be one of the first to get involved and help us grow this class. It will meet in the first room on the left in the basement classroom area. Please contact Kelly or Emily to see how you can help prepare for the first Sunday.
Operation Worship Bibles
We have had a request for more Operation Worship Bibles. We have been able to get one additional case of Bibles. There are 32 Bible available for you to write a personal note to a soldier serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. Thank you for giving providing Bibles to US military personnel. Fourth of July Fireworks
We are receiving donations for our annual fourth of July fireworks show. Our 4th of July church picnic will be held at Sportsman's Lake on Sunday July 5th. You may give your donation to Trevor Clopton, James Jeffries, or designate your check and place it in the church offering. Our goal is $1500 to allow for a great fireworks display. This can be reached by each family giving $5 or $10 designated for fireworks. The picnic is well attended and is a great opportunity to bring your friends and introduce them to our church family.
Men's Prayer and Fellowship
Men's prayer group will meet on July 2nd at 7pm. We will be meeting at the home of Barry and Rita Eads.
Vacation Bible School begins July 19th. Please join us for a trip on the Boomerang Express - it all comes back to Jesus!
